HP Recommended Product: Acer Chromebook R11 Operating System: Chrome OS

I have added the HP print from Chrome app and I followed the instructions on all of the help topics I have read on HP help site.

The default printer in the print window is Save as PDF. I can change the printer name by selecting my printer from the change list (HP Envy Photo 7855) but it does not show me a print button and the printer name reverts back to Save as PDF.

Is there a way to get passed this and print?

HP Recommended

I was exploring other avenues to print. I connected directly to the printer with a USB cable and the same thing happened as above.

So I went to settings on my Chromebook laptop and removed the printer and then added it again. same result.

I opened a document in GoogleDocs and selected print. In the print window there is a Destination box in which Save as PDF was the default. I clicked on the arrow to get the drop-down list of other choices and selected the HP Envy Photo 7855 and nothing happens.

However, at the bottom of the drop-down list there is See more.

I selected that and I got a window to select a destination. In the list was my printer with its IP address so I selected it and that worked. FINALLY!! I hope this can help others.
